Blue Shield of California has announced a new feature for patients that will help them to stay even more connected with their doctor and their everyday health needs. The non-profit health plan provider will offer members mobile push notifications to let them know when their doctor has initiated a an e-prescription order, which will encourage them to view drug prices and weigh their options. The feature can be used in tandem with the Price Check My Rx dashboard that's powered by Gemini Health and found within the Blue Shield app to let users know how much their prescriptions will cost, track changes and more.
