There is a reason why pet owners love to dress their beloved dogs and cats in human-like clothing, it is absolutely adorable; the Present For a Giraffe falls into that same line of reasoning. As ludicrous as the creation may be, the idea of a giraffe wearing such a suitable sweater to stay warm conjures up an undeniably irresistible image.
Created by Mai Yamashita and Naoto Kobayashi, the Present For a Giraffe is made to fit a four-meter-tall giraffe. Sadly, as written on their website, "In winter they kept knitting the long-necked turtle-neck sweater stroke by stroke and day after day for two months, although they knew that the giraffe would never accept the sweater or wear it." Perhaps one day a giraffe will understand the labor of love this sweater was.
