Paris-based design studio Waiting for Ideas has just introduced a look at its latest creation: the PP-1. This is a progressive reimagining of a traditional turntable made by fusing minimalism with elevated technology. The PP-1 is a turntable that is caved from a single block of aluminum.

Overall, this creates a monolithic design that reduces the conventional tonearm along with the additional controls as well. What results is the striking block of metal with a simple form, no dials, switches, or buttons except for two. The streamlined structure enhances the overarching aesthetic and contributes to the simplicity of the users' experience. It reduces the act of plating a record down to its most essential movements.
