The sports drinks are a limited time offering with three flavors to choose from including Grape Shocker, Cherry Kicker and Peach Pucker. The drinks come in 28-fluid-ounce serving sizes and are targeted towards Gen Z consumers who have responded well to sour flavor experiences in food and beverages.

The Powerade Xtra Sour sports drinks are also formulated with 50% more electrolytes than the brand's original formulation, which could support quicker hydration during or after intense workouts. The sports drinks come as part of a wider shift towards new products with a familiar profile to satisfy consumers demand for variety in an accessible way.
