Self-Watering Desk Planters

The Posha Self-Watering Planter is Designed to Support Indoor Plants

The Posha self-watering planter is designed as a compact desk planter that simplifies indoor plant care through a built-in passive watering system. The planter separates a concealed water reservoir from the soil chamber and uses a capillary wick to draw moisture upward only when the plant requires it. This approach helps prevent overwatering while extending the time between refills, allowing plants to remain hydrated for weeks without daily attention. The form is intentionally minimal, making the planter suitable for workspaces, shelves, and small living areas.

Designed by Ayush Kumar Singh, the planter balances soil depth, reservoir capacity, and airflow to maintain healthy root conditions. The opening and proportions accommodate common small houseplants, while the integrated refill point allows water to be added without disturbing foliage. By shifting plant care from frequent watering to occasional maintenance, the Posha self-watering planter adapts indoor gardening to modern routines and limited attention spans.
