The portable breast cancer checker brings the possibility of performing mammograms at home even more likely. Although this isn't the first foray into portable, at-home breast cancer scanners, it definitely is one of the more official-looking ones currently created. Instead of looking like something put together in the kitchen, this handheld breast cancer detector features a cute pink look that will hopefully alleviate the seriousness of this test.
Developed by Nihon University, the portable breast cancer checker is easier to use than other devices as well. It simply needs to be pressed lightly against the skin until the results are displayed on an LCD screen, which is almost instantaneous.
Unfortunately, the portable breast cancer checker is currently in only its testing stages.
