HiBy is expanding its portable audio lineup with the 'W4,' a pocket-sized HiFi amplifier that lets you use wired headphones with smartphones via Bluetooth 5.4. It lets listeners pair a wired setup with a phone while adding bright color and tactile controls.
The W4 features a 2-inch touchscreen and a ridged volume dial, allowing users to check playback and adjust settings without reaching for their phone. It also supports 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs and can connect via USB-C on a computer, giving headphone fans more ways to plug in.
For shoppers, this means wired headphones can stay in rotation instead of being retired because of a missing jack. The optional magnetic backplate and built-in battery make the format more portable, but they also show how far accessory makers are willing to go to turn a simple dongle into a daily carry device.
