Tequila Don Julio 1942 Unveiled the 'Port of Champions'
Debra John — June 4, 2026 — Marketing
Tequila Don Julio 1942 introduces the 'Port of Champions,' a week-long waterfront activation centered around a more than 200-foot megayacht docked at Manhattan's Chelsea Piers. Developed in connection with the FIFA World Cup, the initiative will transform a section of New York City's waterfront into a temporary hospitality and entertainment destination designed to celebrate the global sporting event.
Scheduled to run from July 13 to July 19, the activation will feature a diverse program spanning hospitality, dining, culture, media, and nightlife. Additional programming will include live entertainment, DJ performances, podcast recordings, creator-focused content opportunities, and guided tequila tastings held aboard the yacht. Complementing the waterfront venue, Pier 59 will be transformed into an immersive hospitality hub featuring match-day experiences, luxury dining, live entertainment, and evening celebrations, creating a multifaceted destination for visitors throughout the tournament period.
