Anonymous dog defecation could soon become a thing of the past thanks to Poo Prints. Poo Prints is a DNA testing kit developed to help unmask the dogs behind the doo. The kit is designed specifically for housing managers who often try in vain to get people to pick up after their pooches.
A sign warning of a fine means nothing if nobody catches you in the act. With Poo Prints, dog owners would swab the inside of their dog's mouth to collect a DNA sample. The management is provided with a bag designed to carry a sample of the "specimen" back to the lab. Dog and poo are matched and the correct owner is fined for the offense. While this idea seems to border on the extreme, I still think it is quite brilliant. It only takes one inconsiderate pet owner to ruin a pristine patch of communal grass. Poo Prints would help keep pet owners honest and communities clean. Where can I sign up my complex at?
