The 'Shred-Buddy 3D' is a plastic shredder that gets individuals involved in the process of recycling on their own.
The plastic shredder is able to perform on a variety of plastics that include "cable ties, plastic bottles, leftover 3D printer material and fishing lines." The device is able to turn plastic bottles and printer filaments into pellets or granules and zip ties and other nylon materials into the same. The project was developed for people who own 3D printers with a pellet extruder.
By allowing individuals to partake in the actual process of recycling, this machine enhances creativity while simultaneously helping to reduce the amount of plastic waste in the world.
