The googly-eyed pink poodle is a scaled down version of Andrew Logan's Fifi, a pooch that headlines many of the American Visionary Art Museum's events.
It seems as though the scaled-down version is still too big for the store display, however, as it towers over the accompanying mannequins. I'm not sure about you, but I don't think this plush puppy belongs in such a high-scale boutique.
Implications - North American society is over saturated with similar ideas and imagery. As such, the general public has become desensitized and apathetic to most marketing tactics. By using the novelty of out-of-the-ordinary marketing campaigns, the team behind this gigantic pink poodle publicity stunt was successful in shaking consumers out of their apathy.
