There are some incredible technologies available today that people are glad to make the most of but in reality, have little understanding of how they actually function—Picoh takes the form of a programmable desktop robot head that offers a friendly way to explore everything from artificial intelligence to computing.
The robot has an expressive face that conveys a range of emotions using Pixel IntoFace technology, a color-changing base and a touch-sensitive nose, making the bot lively and animated. Users are able to send real-time updates to Picoh, so that the system can be customized as desired with a few changes in code.
Picoh is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter with the aim of raising enough funds to cover the costs to put the expressive desktop robot into production.
