These funky shoes were created by Toronto's own Team Macho for the SOL(e)D fundraiser put on by Worn Fashion Journal.
These babies were just one of the many pairs of Keds donated to Worn, which were then given to artists to decorate. The pickle shoes were auctioned off to benefit the AIDS Committee of Toronto.

By cultivating interest with bizarre and unusual creativity, projects like this succeed at entertaining viewers while also informing them about an important cause.
