Neighborhood-Inspired Shoes

Adidas' Pibe de Barr10 Boots are Inspired By Leo Messi's Neighborhood

The Adidas Pibe de Barr10 soccer shoes are inspired by the Barrio (neighborhood) of Las Heras in the Argentine city of Rosario, where Lionel Messi first began playing the game. Years before becoming one of the greatest players of all time, Messi was once just another boy in Las Heras kicking a ball around. This boot pays tribute to Messi's roots, and inspires others to attain similar heights.

The Pibe de Barr10 shoes were designed in collaboration with Rosario-born graphic artist Ignacio Valentini, and pay tribute to Messi's childhood. The shoes feature raw urban-inspired brush strokes with sleekness, and embody Messi's playing style, which is aesthetically supreme yet brutal at the same time.

While Messi left Rosario at a young age, his neighborhood had a big impact on him as he recognizes when he says that "Pibe de Barr10 have a lot to do with my life, my childhood and a lot to do with me."
