Photographer Charlotte Rutherford Doesn't Play by the Rules

Photographer Charlotte Rutherford has built an impressive body of work, having shot for the likes of Vice and Tank magazine over the course of her incredible career.

Rutherford's images are absurdly fun, filled with wit and whimsy and 1980s influence. Speaking of influence, Rutherford counts David LaChapelle and Pierre et Gilles as two of her biggest, noting that they disregarded conventional photography rules in their work, and thus, paved the way for her to do the same.
