A Finnish innovator by the name of Arild Edvard Basmo has designed an innovative photo digitizer that is designed to make it easier and more convenient than ever to transform negatives into digital image files in a streamlined manner.
The 'Valoi easy35' photo digitizer is equipped with a film gate that can hold negatives as well as a diffused LED light, with the former hooked up to a macro lens. All that photographers need to do is to switch on the backlight and twist the box until it's aligned with the camera's viewfinder. At this point, they can easily insert negatives into the photo digitizer and take photos of them. This represents a massive upgrade in convenience over the typical process of taking photos of negatives with DSLRs or using a scanning device.
