The 21st century is home to touchscreen cellphones, high definition televisions and emoji artwork created by Petra Cortright. The digital artist creates artwork with the help of new and old emoticons. From rainbow paint-splashed paintings to digitally animated photography, each image is no stranger to the emoji attack. Although these emoji pictures are just a small collection from the phenomenal work of Petra Cortright, she also creates sculptures, paintings, installations and performance pieces.
In Petra's words, "generic dreamy, dream house mood boards, flowers people would like to have at their wedding, exotic travel landscapes and cityscapes" inspire her world. Stella McCartney is a huge fan of the artist, enlisting her to produce digital artwork for her Fall/ Winter 2014 collection.
