Peter Anton is an American artist with a primary food focus. For his latest work of art, Anton scaled up his sculptures for an exhibition at the UNIX Gallery in New York City.
Titled 'Foodhist Temple,' this exhibition ran through April 2nd to May 9th. For this exhibition, Peter Anton crafted various sculptures of realistic-looking food in very vast sizes. During the showing of the large-scale art, viewers were asked to take off their shoes and kneel on the pillows that were placed around the gigantic food sculptures. As Anton stated before the opening, “The temple will be a place of meditation, peace, and happiness—a shrine devoted to the celebration of food and life."
Though the exhibition is far from over, the large-scaled pieces are now for sale on the UNIX Gallery website.
