Toronto-based startup Rover provides a peer-to-peer parking marketplace and will now test a monthly subscription model. The app presents users with a list of available parking spaces that can be booked. The app has only offered its parking marketplace for single-use spaces but now the app has a monthly subscription model.
The subscription-based model is undergoing testing which will be completed in the fall. The test is attempting to determine the best way of implementing the new program. Features being tested include adding perks like a discount, as well as advanced booking and premium customer services.
Parking spaces are normally priced anywhere from $5 to $15, with prices fluctuating depending on different feature options. The company currently operates in Canada but has plans to move into the Califonia market as well.
