Carefully Constructed Cameras

The Papercraft Leica Cam is Delicate Yet Usable

The Papercraft Leica camera was designed by photographer Matthew Nicholson.

This carefully constructed camera is part of Nicholson's 2011 series called 'Making the Desirable Accessible Through an A4 Printer.' The Papercraft Leica is the most unique piece though, as it is constructed to look exactly like the Leica model M3. Matthew Nicholson's finished product actually works as a film camera.

Matthew Nicholson's Papercraft Leica template will be available for download at the end of June, along with a tutorial on how to construct and work the cleverly designed piece. The Papercraft Leica is truly a great tribute to the infamous camera brand and shows that with careful construction, something extraordinary can be made from paper and 35mm film.
