With Election Day nearly upon Americans, many consumers may be feeling helpless and feel there may be nothing left to do to help their desired candidate. To help alleviate some of this stress, Maciej Cegłowski–the owner of the bookmarking site 'Pinboard' and a political organization called 'Tech Solidarity'–created a 'Panic Decision Matrix' to help people make the most effective last-minute political donation.
The platform is straightforward to use. Those who want to donate simply need to answer a few questions about what they are hoping to accomplish, for example focusing on a particular state or donating to the neediest candidates. While the platform has an obvious political slant towards a specific party, it leaves people with the neutral advice: "Remember the dictum about avoiding analysis paralysis. Just pick one and go!”
