Now, McLaren P1 owners can bring their car to any McLaren dealership and purchase an upgraded, 110-pound battery kit for $156,700 USD. This kit also comes with a 6-year warranty, which will cover most forms of damage or unforeseen wear to the kit. With a reduction of over half the weight of the battery system, the upgraded McLaren P1 boasts a much quicker acceleration and a slightly quicker top speed.
