This ‘Up North’ Sphere Outdoor Fire Pit Displays a Woodland

— June 10, 2013 — Art & Design
The ‘Up North’ sphere outdoor fire pit is a great way to incorporate art and design outdoors.

Designed by sculptor and artist Melissa Crisp, these globe-like fire pits are unlike any other on the market. Made completely from steel, each ‘Up North’ fire pit is a 37-inch round handmade sphere. Melissa then carves out a design in the sphere and the ‘Up North’ fire pits feature a Minnesota wilderness forest scene with deer and a moose. Then, each fire pit is coated in a rust patina finish and features a tree branch-inspired leg stand.

When ablaze, the forest design of the ‘Up North’ fire pit looks like woodland shadow cast during a sunset. With a different view of the forest scene from each angel, and a life time warranty, this outdoor fire pit is a must-have item this summer.
