Perplexing Artistic Timepieces

The Otsuka Lotec No.5 KAI Has a 40.5mm Stainless Steel Case

The Otsuka Lotec No.5 KAI timepiece has been showcased by self-taught watch designer Jiro Katayama as a slightly perplexing timepiece that will no doubt catch the attention of new and existing fans of the brand. The watch is paired with a series of cruciforms on the dial that each have four numerals on their stems that will shift perplexingly across the surface to perform something of a ballet as they transition throughout the day to indicate the time. The watch features a stainless steel case that measures in at 40.5mm and 7.6mm in thickness, which is extended up to 12.2mm thanks to a thick sapphire crystal lens.

The Otsuka Lotec No.5 KAI timepiece is powered by the Miyota 90S5 automatic movement with 40-hours of power reserve and will be available via lottery in Japan for JPY 748,000.
