Otakara NYC Stitches Traditional Designs onto Garments

Engineered Garments introduces a new set of apparel designs that are hardwearing and detailed with hand-stitched details applied by Otakara NYC. The artful looks are functional and deliver a sense of bespoke artisanal detailing. This effort joins the upcoming pop-up with Satoshi Suzuki's Otakara NYC.

He was inspired by intricate embroidery while scrolling through the Internet one day. Since then, he has been searching for similar examples and met with the lack thereof. He then experiments with his own shirt capsule and includes pieces from Engineered Garments. He started by stitching out designs inspired by Japanese and Native American artwork that was drawn out in his own sketches, taking a traditional sense after being washed, worn in, and reinforced.
