The popular avant-garde fashion label COMME des GARÇONS taps the origins of life as inspiration for its latest drop. The Fall/Winter 2023 capsule debuted during Paris Fashion Week. The outfits that graced the catwalk were impactful and eye-catching. Japanese designer Kawakubo, who founded the label, stayed true to the experimental, avant-garde fashion roots of COMME des GARÇONS.
The origins of life-inspired capsule was divided into 11 sections, thematically presented alongside a specially curated soundtrack by Calx Vive from Dover Street Market. The show took place in Paris' American Cathedral. Each section of the collection was a symphony of auditory and visual pleasure. The silhouettes in COMME des GARÇONS' Fall/Winter 2023 capsule ranged from "jarring and undeniable" to boxed and grandiose.
