The Numéro France 'La Garçonne' Photoshoot Stars Tao Okamoto

While it is undeniable that the looks featured throughout the Numéro France 'La Garçonne' editorial are androgynous, there is more of mysterious moodiness going on than a stab at masculinity. Shot completely in black and white, the in-studio photoshoot is dark and brooding, characteristics that would be found in any James Dean persona. Yet model and last month's Numero China cover girl Tao Okamoto embraces it as though they were her own.

The Numéro France 'La Garçonne' editorial was lensed by American photographer photographer Greg Kadel. It is set to appear in the October 2013 issue of the magazine. The brunette beauty was outfitted by stylist Havana Laffitte, who pulled mannish pieces from the likes of Calvin Klein, Jil Sander and Maison Martin Margiela.
