Nubian Skin Hopes to Redefine Nude Lingerie For Women of Color

In an effort to redefine what nude lingerie looks like, Nubian Skin is releasing a line of undergarments catered to women of color. The newly launched lingerie brand will consist of underwear and hosiery in tones better suited to match the skin shades of non-caucasian ladies. Most clothing and makeup is designed for fairer skin types in mind, which poses difficulties for darker skinned females.

The inclusive nude lingerie will be available for purchase online in October. In the meantime, Nubian Skin can be found on Instagram so you can get an idea of styles beforehand.

By forcing the public to rethink what 'nude' coloring is, perhaps the introduction of this brand will encourage other retailers to introduce a wider range in colors as those with darker skin still have the same needs as other underwear-wearing women.
