The NTT DoCoMo Android Prototype Features a Transparent Touchscreen

Sure to set fire to even more project smartphone rumors, the NTT DoCoMo Android prototype is setting the Internet ablaze with hype. Though the phone isn’t ready to be sold, the model created has been filmed and explained in a YouTube video.

Featuring a double-sided and transparent touchscreen, this smartphone takes things to the next level. Because of this certainly particular design, many adjustments had to be made to the phone, and it operates quite differently than your average Android. The phone would accommodate the other screen by allowing features which took advantage of the dual screens, allowing more options for users. One of the most exciting features of this type is called “gripping,” wherein a user can hold down an object at the back of the phone while modifying it through the front screen.

Undeniably cutting edge but not yet released, this prototype and accompanying video are sure to generate plenty of buzz and excited speculation.
