An Illustrator Has Redesigned Covers for Virginia Woolf Novels

These re-imagined classic novel covers were created by illustrator Aino-Maija Metsola for Virginia Woolf novels.

The novel covers were created for six of the famed English author's books, including 'A Room of One's Own, The Waves, The Years, Mrs Dalloway, Orlando and To The Lighthouse.' Each of the covers represents the theme of the book itself and features playful abstract designs that appear almost childlike at times. With imagery similar to waves, plant life as well as unrecognizable shapes, these abstract novel covers are extremely eye-catching.

It is important for younger generations to read classic novels that are deemed important in the history of literature. These playful and abstract novel covers do their part in catching the attention of younger readers who have not yet been exposed to Virginia Woolf's work.
