Non-Invasive Health Monitoring Solutions

Onalabs Scales Its Continuous Health Technology

Onalabs —  Barcelona-based deep-tech company specializing in continuous, non-invasive health monitoring solutions — has successfully closed a funding round exceeding €9.3 million, with participation from the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation, 1921 Ventures, nPrime, Reig Patrimonia, WA4STEAM, and other strategic investors. This move signals strong confidence in the company's proprietary sweat-based biosensing technology.

This substantial capital injection will be directed toward accelerating the industrialization and market expansion of ONASPORT — the company's commercially available sports performance monitor that tracks biomarkers including lactate, dehydration, electrolyte loss, and sodium levels. The funding will also advance the clinical validation and regulatory approval of ONAVITAL, a healthcare-focused device that continuously measures blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and body temperature.

The company's ongoing pilot programs with more than ten hospitals and its strengthened collaboration with FC Barcelona and Garmin demonstrate real-world validation and integration with established sports and health ecosystems.

Sweat-based Biosensing
Continuous biomarker tracking through sweat creates new possibilities for passive diagnostics, personalized hydration insights, and performance optimization without needles or lab visits.
Clinical-grade Wearables
Regulatory-ready monitoring devices are narrowing the gap between consumer wearables and medical equipment, enabling richer remote care models across hospitals and homes.
Sports Health Integration
Partnerships between sensor startups, athletic clubs, and device platforms signal a growing market for real-time physiological data embedded into training and recovery systems.

Sectors Adopting This

Digital Health
Non-invasive continuous monitoring expands digital health platforms with more actionable patient data for chronic care, prevention, and decentralized clinical workflows.
Sports Technology
Biomarker-enabled performance tools give teams, trainers, and athletes deeper visibility into exertion, fatigue, and recovery beyond traditional fitness metrics.
Medical Devices
Wearable biosensors with clinical validation represent a shift toward compact, always-on medical devices that support earlier intervention and longitudinal health assessment.
