Nextech AR Acquires Threedy to Develop 3D Content Creation Engines

Nextech AR Solutions Corp. is a large contributor to the augmented reality (AR) space. The company recently acquired Silicon Valley-based Threedy.ai Inc, an artificial intelligence (AI) company specializing in 3D modeling for e-commerce companies. The agreement is expected to finalize on June 25th, 2021.

The goal of the acquisition is to create net new revenue opportunities that scale with the global adoption of AR. Moreover, Nextech and Threedy plan to develop a unified, scalable 3D content creating engine. This will be used for all AR solutions. A combination of Nextech's leading AR platform with Threedy's disruptive AI technology will revolutionize the AR world.
