The New Yelp Assistant Helps Consumers Go Beyond Discovery

As part of its Spring Product Release, Yelp announced the new, AI-powered Yelp Assistant, designed to help consumers book, order and schedule in one conversation. Yelp Assistant was first introduced to help people hire service professionals and answer questions about individual businesses. Now, for the first time, Yelp users can move from discovery to action with new and enhanced integrations, ultimately making it simpler to reserve tables, get delivery from partners like DoorDash and Grubhub, or set up beauty, wellness, and automotive appointments, and more.

New integrations available through Yelp Assistant are now also accessible throughout the Yelp app, and partnerships with Vagaro, Zocdoc and Calendly expand booking, ordering and scheduling capabilities to even more categories. “Booking a doctor’s appointment should be just as easy as booking dinner,” said Oliver Kharraz, MD, founder and CEO of Zocdoc. “Integrating Zocdoc’s healthcare access infrastructure into Yelp is another step toward making access to in-network care simple and immediate, wherever patients begin their search.”
