Netflix Offers an Advance New Year's Eve Countdown for Kids

To help parents out during New Years, Netflix is offering an advance New Year's Eve countdown geared specifically towards children to help kids fall asleep early so adults can enjoy the special event. The streaming service is set to offer six different countdowns fitted with a slew of popular cartoon characters that can be used to help put kids to bed early on the eve of the new year.

New Year's Eve can be a late celebration -- one that most children are amped to stay up for but can't always make. To save parents the fuss and also give them some time to enjoy it on their own, Netflix is offering a specially designed early countdown feature with six different versions that can be streamed at any time. The feature falsely counts down to midnight using characters from Care Bears, Inspector Gadget and DreamWorks Animation.
