The Nan Shufang Hong Kong store has opened at Pacific Place, becoming the premium Chinese cultural brand's first location beyond mainland China. Founded in Beijing in 2008, the brand draws inspiration from the scholar's study tradition, presenting handcrafted objects within immersive retail environments that combine design, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage. The new store joins existing locations across Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, extending Nan Shufang's network to seven spaces.
The Hong Kong location showcases three core product categories: wooden wares, porcelain wares, and gold and silver wares. The collection includes furniture, tea wares, scholar's desk accessories, incense tools, and decorative objects crafted using traditional techniques such as mortise-and-tenon joinery, hand carving, chasing, repoussé, and lost-wax casting. Alongside its retail offering, the space hosts activities including calligraphy, Chinese painting, tea culture, incense appreciation, seal carving, guqin, woodblock printing, and cultural talks, continuing the brand's focus on preserving and sharing traditional Chinese craftsmanship through contemporary experiences.
