German travel equipment manufacturer Heimplanet has introduced 'Mavericks,' an inflatable multi-purpose tent inspired by the crystal structure and molecular properties of the diamond. While it may be inspired by diamonds, the tent is not merely a pretty-looking bauble and is actually designed to weather extreme conditions.
The tent, which is two meters tall and offers 13 square meters of internal space, incorporates Inflatable Diamond Grid technology and a multi-chamber safety system, which allows it to be inflated in just one step. Once inflated, the structure can be divided into ten individual air chambers. This unique feature offers increased stability and security in the event of damage.
Heimplanet claims that this multi-purpose tent's geodesic structure enables it to shrug off winds up to 180 km/h, but is designed in such a way that it can easily be set up by just one person.
