These double-walled thermal bottles, marketed as Thermo Bottle by Romain Gathrot, are made of borosilicate glass. While glass is often thought of as a fragile material, borosilicate glass is highly resistant to heat and shock and glass is eco-friendly.
Because the mouth-blown bottles are double-walled, they preserve the temperature of the liquids placed inside of them: Warm liquids remain warm and cool liquids stay chilled. The outside of the vessel remains at room temperature.
The Thermo Bottle is dishwasher and microwave safe, holds about two cups of liquid and sells for around $100.
