Properties on the MONOPOLY: TODAY Edition board are replaced with recognizable locations from the show's set like the Plaza or Studio 1A, while traditional Chance and Community Chest cards are re-themed as 'Breaking News' and 'Commercial Break' cards to align with the broadcast motif. The board game includes six custom tokens modeled after items associated with the morning TV program. These include a Coffee Mug, a Sunrise, a Microphone, a Camera, an Umbrella, and a Clapboard. The gameplay also includes "themed currency inspired by TODAY."
