Based on the gestalt principles, the Modular Shelves by Reinier de Jong, an industrial designer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, is a bit of an improvement on a past design. Working off of the framework for the REK Bookcase, it addresses the problem that it required a lot of space to install it.
