New York-based architectural and design forms AJSNY and TO+WN are hawking an incredibly detailed 12-foot-long model of Manhattan.
The so-called microscape model of Manhattan was conceived using ultra-detailed aerial scans of the city, that were used to make a number of 3D-printed square tiles, each of which represents a section of Manhattan at a 1:5000 scale.
Currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, individual tiles within the microscape model of Manhattan can be yours for $75 apiece. Eventually, a special-order version of the set that includes each and every one of the 200 tiles will be offered for $25,000.
You might not be able to realize that dream of owning a piece of Manhattan for yourself, but these models represent the next best thing.
