Mobile live-streaming apps 'Meerkat' and 'Periscope' have become immensely popular recently, but now 'Skeegle' wants to make the service a more private affair. Rather than targeting a global community of mobile streamers as Meerkat and Periscope do, Skeegle lets you choose exactly who you wish to broadcast your videos to.
To use Skeegle, simply download the app and sign in with your Facebook account and mobile phone number. You can then begin building exclusive groups by choosing directly from your phone's contact list. When you wish to begin streaming, simply select a specific group and begin your private video broadcast. You contacts will then be able to watch the live stream from their own Skeegle app or from their browser.
While Skeegle is not a new idea, it adds a private element to live video broadcasts that Meerkat and Periscope cannot offer. For anyone interested in mobile live-streaming, but not ready to expose themselves to a public audience, the Skeegle app is the perfect alternative.
