The 2009 Venice Carnival provided the usual array of awesome images featured at the annual costume event, including haute designer publicity stunts, including a living angel by fashion house, Missoni.
Margherita Missoni, the granddaughter of Rosita and Ottavio Missoni who founded the Missoni knitwear company, performed the traditional Flight of the Angel hanging from a cable tied from the bell tower at St Mark's Square. For her performance, she worn a Missoni-designed dress.
Implications - An effective way for businesses to garner the attention of large numbers of consumers is by portraying both themselves and their products in very dramatic and bold ways. In doing so, they will likely succeed in creating a lasting impression in the minds of consumers and benefit by standing out amongst competitors.
