Minimalist Christmas Movie Posters

These Minimalist Movie Posters Celebrate Holiday Classics

Most people have one or two movies they watch every year on or around the Christmas Holidays, and these minimalist movie posters celebrate those classics. The Interactive Design Institute has released five new posters for classic holiday films that encapsulate the characters, plot and atmosphere of each film in a single iconic image.

The poster for Home Alone has the heads of Kevin and the two thieves dangling like Christmas ornaments along with the iconic bucket of paint. The Christmas Story depicts a snowman wearing the infamous pink bunny pajama while The Muppet Christmas Carol print has the face (made into a holiday light bulb) of Kermit the Frog dressed as Bob Cratchit. These minimalist movie posters capture the essence, nostalgia and joy of each each film with very little in the way of images or words.
