Microsoft Brought 'Xbox Copilot' to PC Devices Today

Microsoft has released Xbox Copilot on PC as part of today’s update to the Xbox Game Bar, available for Windows 10 and Windows 11 users. The feature, originally launched on Xbox consoles, allows two physical controllers to be paired and treated as a single virtual controller, enabling assisted or collaborative gameplay. Users can install the updated Game Bar via the Microsoft Store and access Copilot through the Controller widget, where they assign two input devices to one logical port or split one controller across two ports.

Xbox Copilot on PC supports both Bluetooth and wired Xbox Wireless controllers as well as third-party XInput devices. The service is provided at no extra charge and requires no Xbox subscription. It is designed to enhance accessibility by letting friends, family members, or caregivers help with real-time game input, and it also accommodates shared play or tutorial scenarios. The global roll-out aligns with Microsoft’s broader efforts to improve inclusivity across its gaming ecosystem.
