Miniature Edible Murals

Hasan Kale Paints Unbelievable Micro Art on Surfaces of Food

Hasan Kale, a Turkey-based artist, creates surreal micro art, but in his latest series he expands his intricate skill sets to the food industry. He finds tiny foods like chocolate, nuts and melon seeds and creates perfect murals of cities on them.

Each time he pushes himself to find smaller surfaces; however, it raises the question: how can one paint a scene on something much smaller than a seed? Somehow this artist does it and transforms everyday food into amazing works of art that illustrate iconic scenes and monuments of his hometown Istanbul.

The only downfall of his art, is that each piece can easily be overlooked as a snack -- especially when the canvas happens to be an M & M or Pistachio sliver.
