The Disney folks aren't waiting around for the economy to improve worldwide, they are single-handedly making it happen. In announcing the $3.9 billion theme park expansion in Shanghai, they have committed to the largest foreign investment in China--ever. The park would create 50,000 jobs!
Implications - The idea is still up in the air as nothing has been signed or approved yet. Disney claims that it could take up to a year for China to sign an agreement with them. If China gives a thumbs up, the project is estimated to finish in the year 2014. The addition to the park would include loads of shopping, fancy hotels and of course, cool rides.
