The MetMo Pocket Grip Revives 1913 Tool Patent as Modern Edc

The MetMo Pocket Grip is a compact everyday carry multi-tool that adapts a 1913 double-ended parallel wrench patent by J. Anderson into a contemporary clamping and utility device. Drawing from Patent no. 1,070,656, the tool’s chassis integrates a central hex drive zone, adaptive parallel jaws, plier teeth, a V-groove for square drive tools, and a nipping edge into a single slim body.

The adaptive parallel jaw mechanism can open up to 20 mm while maintaining parallelism between fixed and moving jaw faces, enabling effective gripping of varied shapes and materials. The central pivot also doubles as a 1/4-inch hex drive compatible with standard bits.

The tool measures roughly 95.5 mm long, 45.5 mm wide, and 10 mm thick, with the aluminum version weighing about 83.6 g. Jaws are machined from hardened stainless steel with high tensile strength, and the body is offered in aluminum, titanium, or stainless steel variants.
