Street and graphic artist Merve Morkoc, also known by Lakormis, is the illustrator behind these romantic anatomical illustrations. Her latest body of work is being featured in the Milk Gallery in Istanbul. The majority of her art is inspired by themes of gore, macabre and other frightening takes on the human body. She often uses images of young girls and strips them down to their inner makings.

Merve Morkoc started off as a street graphic artist, and even though she has come a long way since then, she remains a strong advocate for the public forum and expression through art. Her artwork is often disturbing, but the central idea remains positive. Finding someone who loves who you are from head to toe, flesh or no flesh is possible and a special thing to have.
