Studio Cohaku Designed the Menow Collection of Furniture

Tokyo-based design firm Studio Cohaku has presented the Menow collection, which is a range of rounded stools that are defined by its slitted upholstery with a wrinkle-free material. The capsule is comprised of three sizes: small, medium, and large. The versatile structure is suitable for use in commercial spaces and in offices as well. It comes in a tonal palette or cream, orange, and pale blue.

The studio created the curved silhouette with slits at the four corners which is "inspired by ribbed sleeves commonly seen in the fashion world." These slits were selected to ensure "a smooth and wrinkle-free replacement" of the seating's upholstery according to the studio. It continues, "This design not only emphasises beauty but also incorporates functionality."
