Walmart indicated that it will start to run tests for its new membership services, titled Walmart+, beginning next month. The announcement was made through a spokesperson sending an email to Grocery Drive, and many of the details have not yet been released. The service will provide grocery deliveries to participating customers.
There is also some speculation that Walmart will look to add discounts and perks to the membership service. The retail giant previously launched a similar service named Walmart Delivery Unlimited. Walmart Delivery Unlimited was launched in September of 2019 and it was an unlimited grocery service that cost either $98 for a year or $12.95 per month. The unlimited grocery service is still available at many Walmart locations.
